  • PERFORMANCE: ANGEL WHITE

    ANGEL WHITE, a talented 16-year-old Jamaican/Wurrudguri singer/songwriter from Bundjalung Nation, captivates audiences with her unique blend of soul and R&B. After four years of crafting her sound on guitar, she’s just released her debut single, “would yu?” and is gearing up for an exciting future!

  • PERFORMANCE: Biren Cultural Group

    Biren Cultural Group are a northern Bundjalung group (Tweed and Gold Coast based) that was created with a desire to build, love, respect and appreciation for their people and their culture. They primarily do this through teaching and sharing traditional song and dance and through immersive educational experiences.Through their platform, Biren Cultural Group hope to provide a place for their people to connect to their identity, and equally as important, a place where all other people can learn and understand.

  • PERFORMANCE: Mr Rhodes

    As a founding member of the celebrated hip-hop trio Teddy Lewis King, musical alchemist Mr Rhodes makes soulful drenched future hip-hop with unparalleled energy and tenacity. The prolific lyricist and producer has released acclaimed music, from the 2019 single “Wonderous” to the 2022 masterpiece “Fear and Loathing”, 2023 sees the Bundjalung musician release his newest single “Can’t You Tell”. His newest musical offering "Can't You Tell" has seen him featured on Spotify’s popular “The Drip” and “Fresh Finds Au and NZ”, Apple Music’s “BLAKLIST” and “FIRST” playlists, as well as spins on Triple J, CADA and rotation on 2SER, and opening for powerhouse band, Winston Surfshirt. Mr Rhodes has proven without a doubt that his is a voice of an artist at the forefront of the new global sound.

  • PERFORMANCE: Kinship Doobai Dancers

    Kinship Doobai Dancers are a contemporary women’s dance group based in Murwillumbah made up of Minyungbal, and broader Bundjualung, Wiradjuri, Gamilleroi and Wakka Wakka women.  Connected through family and kinship, the Kinship Doobai Dancers are proud to continue culture through to the next generation. The Kinship Doobai Dancers tell traditional and contemporary stories of culture through song and dance. They bring their shared cultural knowledge and are led by local Elders to care for Country, community and Culture. The Kinship Doobai Dancers are kinship in action.

  • PERFORMANCE: Manduway

    Gumbaynggirr and Barkindji singer songwriter Manduway transports his audience with his multi lingual lyrics, warm vocals and silky skills on the piano. Performing for more than 10 years in various bands, Manduway has now found empowerment in writing and performing his own music influenced by his Indigenous heritage and languages.

  • PERFORMANCE: Jungbung Bangali Dancers

    Jungbung Bangali Dancers are an Aboriginal dance group from Casino West Public School, led by Uncle Charlie Caldwell. Their performances are both engaging and rich in meaning; each traditional dance conveys a unique story.

  • PERFORMANCE: Mitch King

    Mitch King is a Yaegl Bundjalung man from the Far North Coast region of NSW. He is a creative producer specialising in hip hop music and dance and has been working at NORPA as an Associate Producer and Associate Artist since 2014. He has a background in youth work, collaborating with young people on community events and programs. Mitch combines his passion for hip-hop dance and music with theatre, movement and creative writing to connect with people who want to engage with the performing arts. As a workshop leader he develops people’s unique movement and voice within the rhythm and aesthetic of hip hop.

  • SHOWCASE: Wandjaarii Maalii

    The Wandjaarii Maalii showcase will feature designs by Jasmin Stanford, Michael Philp and Val Smith, the three successful Bundjalung creatives who participated in Arts Northern Rivers pilot textile and fashion design development project. The fashion parade will include women’s, men’s and childrenswear: leisure wear, casualwear, swimwear all with the artists textile designs produced via digital or screen print. Wandjaarii Maalii focused on increasing access and involvement for First Nations artists in the fashion industry with workshops and mentorships concentrating on sustainability, design, and production.
