Art on Bundjalung x Aunty Simone Barker

This year, Art on Bundjalung is proud to be working with Aunty Simone Barker, custodian and knowledge holder for the Bandjalang people, in guiding the development of the event for Dirruwung | Evans Head.

In a new initiative for 2024, Art on Bundjalung commissioned Aunty Simone Barker to design an exclusive print, exploring the connection of Bandjalang peoples to this place. Aunty Simone is a Traditional Owner, knowledge holder and custodian for the Bandjalang people.

A limited run of t-shirts featuring Aunty Simone’s design will be available for purchase at Art on Bundjalung from the Arts Northern Rivers tent. All proceeds from purchases will support future markets and artist commissions.
